SSDI stands for social security disability insurance. SSDI is defined as:
“Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is a payroll tax-funded, federal insurance program. A portion of the FICA taxes you pay are set aside for SSDI (as well as Social Security Retirement and Medicare). SSDI, which was established in 1954, is designed to provide you with income if you are unable to work due to a disability or until your condition improves, and guarantees income if your condition does not improve. Then once you meet your retirement age – 65 or older – you move from SSDI to Social Security retirement income.”
It is incredibly important. SSDI is especially important for people who work in positions that include manual labor. Construction workers, etc…something could happen on the job and then what would happen? See, situations like that is where SSDI comes into play. It is so important to have plans like this…you just never know when something could go wrong.

Austin Wellness ClinicPosted on December 9th, 2009 @ 4:24 pm
If you live in Austin, Texas you should check out the Austin Wellness Clinic. They are a holistic wellness clinic that strives to take a whole body approach to healing. I prefer holistic medicine. It works much better than the way we normally choose to do things because we only treat the symptoms..not the underlying issues that cause the problems in the first place.
According to their website, this is their goal:
“Our goal is to empower our patients with the knowledge and support necessary to achieve their maximum potential health. Our patients are the heart of our practice, and we strive to provide a gentle, caring atmosphere with professional and knowledgeable staff dedicated to each patient’s success and well-being.
To help us accomplish our goal we provide highly personalized care, utilizing state of the art equipment and technology coupled with a well-rounded approach that leverages the best aspects of conventional medicine within a holistic, person-centered mindset.”
I personally believe that this is the proper way to go about doing things. I wish we had some place similar here in my home town, Nashville, Tennessee. Now, there is no question about where to go for weight loss austin!

School?Posted on December 7th, 2009 @ 4:55 am
I really have been thinking about getting a degree. With this world we live in…a place of employment is not promised..at all. In fact, it is hard for anyone to get a job in this economy. However, I feel like if I had a degree..I would have something going for me.
I didnt do well in school at all. Thats something I regret everyday. As a kid, education doesnt seem important, but as I grow older..I realize more and more with each passing day that life relies on education and knowledge.
One of the major reasons school was such a major issue for me was my anxiety. It was just so difficult. So going back to school is obviously an even bigger issue. There may be a solution, though. I have been checking into going to an online university. Western Governors University, to be exact. They are an accredited university and I can do everything there that I could do at a “regular” school. This really seems to suit me.
The programs they offer are fantastic. For example, I have really been checking out their Health Profession programs and everything it offers. It looks amazing..I mean I have compared their nursing program with other local schools that offer the same programs and WGU even looks BETTER! For example…WGU offers the following under their Online College of Health Professions:
* B.S. Nursing (RN to BSN)
* B.S. Nursing (Prelicensure)
* B.S. Health Informatics
* M.S. Nursing—Education
* M.S. Nursing—Leadership and Management
* M.S. Nursing—Education (RN to MSN Option)
* M.S. Nursing—Leadership and Management (RN to MSN Option)
* M.B.A. Healthcare Management
Not to mention, the health profession is a great area to get into. Especially in the world we live in today. I would love to get an online nursing degree. Yeah..I have certainly made up my mind!
