My boyfriends mother was once an Appaloosa trainer. She fell and injured her hip, or leg, or something..so she doesnt train them anymore. She still works closely with horses though and she has even written a couple books dealing with horses.
Her house is decorated with all kinds of western memorabilia like saddles, horse statues, cowboys, etc. Its pretty cool. I kind of like western decoration. The saddles she has hanging are actually working saddles. They are SO HEAVY. I couldnt believe how heavy and tough they were until I tried to pick one up off the wall. Ahh!
