Its been a while since ive updated. My updates are few and far between these days it seems. Christmas is coming and its just around the corner! Soda is leaving for Minneapolis on Thursday I think so, I am left here by myself to spend Christmas all by myself.

So, I think I told you guys what I was asking for for Christmas this year. The Blackberry Curve 8310 in red.  My Christmas wish has been granted! My mom told me that she would get it for me!!! Im so excited. I cant wait until I get my phone!!! Soda decided he also wanted one, so I found a cool refurbished one for him for cheap, so that I could also get him some awesome other stuff I wanted to get him. Well…go figure..they didnt have any more refurbished ones so I had to go full price to buy it. Needless to say he wont be getting a whole lot more for Christmas

There are tons of stores out there that advertise as a “super media store.” But, well, to be blunt..not all of them really live up to their name. There are tons of people out there who are self proclaimed media geeks and they love EVERYTHING to do with media, electronics, etc, etc. So, when they hear about one of these “oh so great” media outlets they jump at the opportunity to check them out and more often than not they return sadly disappointed. I speak from experience because I AM one of these media geeks.

I havent written for a while because, well, honestly, I havent felt like it. Not only havent I felt like it but there hasnt really been a whole lot to write about.

There is some good news though! Saturday, tickets to 311 Day in New Orleans went on sale. So, I got two!!! Im so super stoked about this. 311 has been a HUGE part of my life since I was a small child and I have seen them multiple times but I never thought that I would be able to go to 311 Day. Well, here it is. Not only that, but I havent ever been to New Orleans so this will just be…amazing. Soda isnt too terribly excited about it, but I think he will get over it once we get there because hes been wanting to go to New Orleans for a long time too.

Today has been a horrible day. Just, horrible.

Generally, today would be a good day. See, I USUALLY get paid today. Yep, this is another work related rant. So, I wake up..happy to be thinking that I will be getting paid today and I go to check the mail….no check. Ok, thats fine. Sometimes the check runs late and it will probably be here tomorrow. No biggie, right?

So, I come back inside to check my e-mail and there is a message from my employer there saying that “effective immediately” there would be a pay date change. Instead of the days we get our checks on now, they would be sending them out on the 15th and the 30th.
So, that means I wont be getting paid for two  more weeks. Do you realize how angry that makes me? That they wait until the DAY im supposed to get paid to tell me this. Not to mention that ITS CHRISTMAS. Ugh. I cant even type anymore.

Lets face it. Borrowing money is nothing something ANY of us like to do. Especially from friends and family members. Ugh. Money can really be such an unwanted hassle. But, we NEED money. Im going to be completely honest. I have never gambled before. Not even one time. But, I must say that the prospect is extremely interesting to me.

My boyfriend and I have a pretty good friend who started playing poker a couple of years ago. He turned out to be a total natural so he started to play at local bars and stuff. Well, to make a super long story short…he got SO good that he was able to quit his job and just play poker full time.

Hes stopped playing at local bars and stuff now though, and pretty much restricts his online poker play to a favorite online casino of his.

Well, Christmas is getting closer and closer and I only have my shopping done for ONE person. I still have to shop for Soda, and mama. I have NO clue what to get mom, though. She is so hard to buy gifts for. She says she doesnt want anything from me and the thing is…is that I KNOW she doesnt want anything from me. Shed rather me save my money but I just want to get her something so…im surfing websites from now until Christmas time trying to find ideas on what to buy her. Hopefully I will find something between now and Christmas. Im going to do the usual and get her some candles and stuff but I want something more this year too. I already got her a little something, but, like I said, I want a few more things.

Needless to say..its time to start workin my lil butt off to get money for the holidays!! Im trying to do it as big as I can this year…pray for me yall!!
