Buying your own home is no joke. It leaves you in charge of EVERYTHING. I know that the only time I ever decided to take on a home improvement project, it ended up disastrous. When my boyfriend and I first moved into our new place, there was no air conditioner. And, in my neighborhood the homes are pretty old so they arent fitted for central heat and air, usually you have to buy window air conditioners which I dont mind. Im used to them because our old apartment had one too.
Well, we bought the air conditioner and tried to install it ourselves and it WAS A COMPLETE MESS. I dont even want to go into all the embarrassing details, but, we eventually had to hire someone to do it for us.
