DIY Home ImprovementPosted on September 29th, 2007 @ 4:30 am
Knowledge is power, and when you decide to make an investment like buying you own home, you definitely need to have knowledge.
Buying your own home is no joke. It leaves you in charge of EVERYTHING. Not only will you have to fix anything that breaks and improve upon things already there, but if you want to do any add ons like build a deck, a front porch or put in a pool…you either have to pay out the yin yang to have someone else do it, or do it yourself.
I know that the only time I ever decided to take on a home improvement project, it ended up disastrous. When my boyfriend and I first moved into our new place, there was no air conditioner. And, in my neighborhood the homes are pretty old so they arent fitted for central heat and air, usually you have to buy window air conditioners which I dont mind. Im used to them because our old apartment had one too.
Well, we bought the air conditioner and tried to install it ourselves and it WAS A COMPLETE MESS. I dont even want to go into all the embarrassing details, but, we eventually had to hire someone to do it for us.
Thankfully, over at DoItYourself.com they teach you the ins and outs of DIY home improvement and they also offer really cool DVDs to help you on your way. Before you embark upon that new project, go check out their DIY DVD to help you get the best results possible.

New Fun With Your PhotosPosted on September 29th, 2007 @ 12:32 am
Once again, ive found something cool that I think other people would be interested in.
Have you ever had a picture that you wished you could sleep with every night? Maybe a picture of your loved one who is out of the country that you wished you could just print on a blanket so that he or she could keep you warm everynight? I have found an awesome new website that can do just that for you. This website takes your precious and beloved pictures and can turn them into Photo Throws, photo pillows, shower curtains, photo pillowcase, or duvet covers.

Youve got to be kidding me.Posted on September 29th, 2007 @ 12:27 am
So, today I slept all day :(. I gotta get my sleep back on track. Ill do that this weekend. Well..anyway…I woke up today and decided to watch some news and when I turned it on…I saw the most horrible thing ive seen on the news in a while. And, I think im a bit late on this..I think its been going on all week but I never watch the news..for this very reason.
A sex tape of a 4 or 5 year old girl was found and they were able to find the little girl involved, but they cant find the guy involved even though they have a suspect. In my opinion, the guy in the video looks JUST LIKE their “suspect.” Id be willing to bet anything thats him. Some guy claims he “found the tape in the desert while riding his dirt bike.” And that he had it for like..4 days. Now, this is weird to me because if I found that tape there IS NO WAY id keep it for four days. The minute I saw what was on it id be turning it in.
Ugh. I hate watching the news because everytime I do I am reminded of the state of our world.

My Digicam…Posted on September 28th, 2007 @ 8:43 am
I take digital photographs for a living and I absolutely love it. I mean, who doesnt love a digital camera, right? My great cousin, Kelley, got me an awesome new digital camera for my birthday and I couldnt be happier. Digital cameras are really the greatest gift ever…no one will be disappointed when they open up a brand new shiny digital camera. I know there are a lot of cameras that are gaining popularity recently, especially Nikon cameras…ive been seeing an awful lot of commercials about them and I even read the blog of a girl who recently purchased one and she loves it. I personally like Canon cameras. But, to each his own, right?
Digital cameras capture family moments, and most of all…memories. I have a Canon SD1000 and I love it. Its the best camera I have ever had and it is the one my cousin Kelley got me for my birthday. Since I got this camera, ive been taking pictures non stop. I figured I would share some of my favourite pictures with you guys..

.
I also really love digital SLR Cameras and id like to have a Canon Rebel. My cousin has one and its awesome..so..we will see.
Do you guys have any favourite digital cameras? Whats your favourite picture?

Ok, it turns out..im a moron.
Remember how I was just freaking out about how the lady I was buying all my digital pets from hadnt responded? Well, she did lol. I totally forgot that I needed to update my e-mail address and I had a REALLY old e-mail address on there..so I just happened to check that e-mail today and bam ..she had emailed me. She also said she was gonna ship my pets today or tomorrow, so I am super excited.
Im getting fifteen of them and she said I cold request certain pets in certain colors or whatever so I asked for at least one dinkie dino, one dinkie penguin, one dinkie doggie or kitty and one alien. All the rest I dont mind about. Am I a geek or what? Lol.

An Apology..Posted on September 27th, 2007 @ 6:55 pm
Sorry about that crazed out post from me this morning about the tamagotchis, lol. I was a little bit excited. But, you know…im a little worried.
The lady im buying them from looks really promising, but shes only gotĀ a feedback rating of 10. Her positive feedback is 100 percent though. She sounds really promising and she said shed respond at least daily and sometimes within the hour but..she hasnt responded to me yet from this mornings email…maybe she thinks im insane because I was so happy about getting these virtual pets but dude…I PAID. So, it dont matter. Well, if she doesnt send ill just dispute it.
I took a break from the sims because it was giving me bad headaches. I had a headache for like 3 days from playing that game.
I gotta get my oil changed today but I just dont feel like getting up. Maybe ill sleep a lil while longer..then go…

Inked Love.Posted on September 27th, 2007 @ 11:31 am
I remember when I saw my first tattoo. I was just a little girl and my dad came home one day with a “new addition” to the family, haha. It was a tattoo on his left bicep. Old school. It was a nice greenish, bluish shade..what I would come to know as “India Ink.” It was a dagger with a ribbon wrapped around the blade and on the ribbon was written my name, my mothers name, and my sisters name. I loved it. I knew that SOME DAY, I had to have one of those. So, when I turned 18..thats when it happened. Nervous, and sweaty, I walked into the tattoo parlor with my special tattoo in mind, and where I wanted it to be..and that was it. I was inked. My love affair with tattooing had begun. Now, I know that there are other tattoo lovers out there like myself..and thats why im writing this entry. I bet you never thought there would be a tattoo dating site out there, huh? Well, there is. And…its pretty cool if I do say so myself.
Its the number one tattoo loving community on the web, and definitely the number one tattoo dating site on the web. You can join for free and browse THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of profiles of tattoo lovers just like you, and just like me. Hey, who knows..maybe youll even find me if you look hard enough ::wink wink::
