Sunflower seeds.
Posted on June 30th, 2007 @ 2:59 am

For the last three days I have had memory problems. My brain just feels..I dunno, “foggy.” I have been forgetting very simple things, even what day it is. Its almost like my brain isnt functioning properly. Its very difficult to deal with. Im not exactly sure what the problem could be..

It is more than likely hormonal, but who knows.
Anywho..I was looking up ways to cure this problem of mine without going to a medical doctor (ugh).
I found out that of course, how our brain functions is largely due to what we put in our bodies.  I think its safe to say most Americans dont eat properly..

But….

I found out today that I can take a small step in reviving my brain activity and memory..

eat more sunflower seeds!

Calling All Units!!!

For those of you who havent seen Reno 911 on Comedy Central, its freakin hilarious. Anyways, the unrated version of Reno 911! Miami has just been released, and you gotta check it out. Im not going to give everything away, but its a lot more funny than the show. Our favourite cops are called in to help when a terrorist attack breaks out during spring break.
If you visit the website you can read about the movie. There are also a couple cool downloads..but the best part are the mini games. Up in the right hand corner there are 4 games you can play, they are all pretty fun but my personal favourite was “Calling All Units.” You get a call in your police car to tend to a crime, you get to drive around the city as best you can and try to make it to the crime. Unfortunately, I never did LOL. Ive never been good at driving games. But at the end of the game, my cost to the city was 43,000 dollars, my salary was 23,700 and I got NO bonus hahaha. What a bad cop I am!!
You should check out www.reno911dvd.com and play a game, see what your score is. I just liked “calling all units” because even though im aweful at car games, theyre fun as crap to play.

Watch Reno 911! Miami The Movie

Beer..Thirst Quenching?
Posted on June 20th, 2007 @ 5:38 pm

Most beer drinkers will tell you that nothing quenches their thirst like a good, cold beer.

Well, according to researchers, beer does nothing but give the illusion that it quenches your thirst. In reality, it does nothing to relieve your thirst. It actually dehydrates  you. Imagine that.

As reported in Appetite, all the factors that give beer its character — the foam, color, flavor and aroma — actually reduced its ability to relieve thirst.

Yuck!
Posted on June 18th, 2007 @ 11:05 pm

Almost 40 percent of litter is cigarette related. Butts, packages, cellophane. Gross.

It is estimated that several trillion cigarette butts are littered worldwide every year. That’s billions of cigarettes flicked, one at a time, on our sidewalks, beaches, nature trails, gardens, and other public places every single day. In fact, cigarettes are the most littered item in America and the world. Cigarette filters are made of cellulose acetate tow, NOT COTTON, and they can take decades to degrade. Not only does cigarette litter ruin even the most picturesque setting, but the toxic residue in cigarette filters is damaging to the environment, and littered butts cause numerous fires every year, some of them fatal.

Im a survivor! Ok, not really, lol.

I was just checking out the website for a cool new series on The USA Network called Burn Notice. Its about a CIA operative who is put in a situation where he has no money, no resources, etc. Visit the website to see how he survives..it looks pretty cool.

It got me to thinking about what I would do if I were ever in a similar situation. Stranded, with no money, no food, etc. Now, if I had been thinking about this situation sometime last week, there would be on way I would think that I could survive, but after this weeked at Bonnaroo, a three day outdoor music festival, I learned that I think I could survive anything.
If I were stranded in a place with nothing, then I would be forced to do anything to survive. I am assuming that I have nothing. No car, no money, no weapons to kill potential food. Im also assuming that I am stranded in an urban area. I would imagine that I would have to kill my pride and do ANYTHING it takes to survive. Urban areas are real survival of the fittest type areas, you could get eaten very quickly. Im not the most survival savvy person so I would more than likely be reduced to begging on the side of the street for spare change, going to walmart to buy a tarp to either sheild myself from the rain with, or to cover up with when its cold, or to sleep on when its hot. Id probably have to search for food in trash cans or buy one dollar double cheese burgers from mcdonalds everyday. I would sleep wherever I could without getting in trouble by the cops. Id have my tarp and shield myself if it started raining or storming. Wow, what a hard life that would be.
I wonder how the CIA Agent from Burn Notice
is gonna make it!!!

Make sure you check out USA Network’s Burn Notice you could learn something.
